VEHICLE WASH & DEGREASER - Heavy Duty & Non-Phosphate

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND USE:
Bulldog Green is a heavy duty vehicle wash specifically formulated to remove dirt, soils, light grease/oil and road stains from both Heavy and Light vehicles on Mine sites.
Bulldog Green is a complex blend of surfactants, sequestering agents and water-soluble solvents, which ensure thorough and effortless cleaning of the vehicles.
Bulldog Green is a non-phosphate formulation, so it does not contribute to algae growth in effluent containment ponds.
Bulldog Green is a high foaming product that can be applied via High Volume (HV) and Low volume (LV) foamers, sponged, broomed or sprayed onto bodywork, glass and all types of truck curtains. It has remarkable rinsing capabilities and will not streak when rinsed/hosed effectively.

BENEFITS:

  • Quickly removes all dirt and road grime, which assists with minimising vehicle down time.
  • Rapid Emulsion Breaking (REB) formulation enables quick breaking of emulsions and subsequent extraction of grease/oil etc from initial effluent containment
  • Free rinsing, which ensures a “streak free” finish
  • High foaming, which enables extended contact time with soils and hence more effective soil removal
  • Will not attack good paintwork, which ensures the maintenance of the integrity of vehicle bodywork, including fabric and plastic curtains
  • Highly concentrated, which enables dilution and economy in use.
  • Available in Bulk deliveries, which is suitable for transfer to on-site tanks minimising handling of concentrate by staff.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS:
Bright green, heavy bodied liquid with a distinct citrus odour.
Bulldog Green is water soluble at use solutions.
pH of 1% solution typically: 9.0
pH neat 10.5

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Typically applied via high and Low Volume foamers, it is used at a concentration of to 20 - 25% with water for Heavy Vehicle cleaning, and 2 - 5% with water for Light vehicles.
Can be used as received via low pressure spray application for water based degreasing.
When used via a high pressure water cleaner, the dose rate is 10-20 mls/litre of water.
If time permits agitate the surface e.g. with sponge or brush, but if not practicable then allow to penetrate for as long as possible without drying.
Hose or pressure rinse off all residual suds, with the most effective method being to rinse from the bottom of the vehicle up to the top, and then
back down to the bottom again. This method assist with ensuring that all soils and detergent are rinsed from bodywork crevices and internals.
If practical we recommend that the paintwork is chamoised for an even greater result.

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
NON-HAZARDOUS
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear safety glasses if splashing is likely to occur.
Wear rubber gloves if prolonged skin contact is expected.
Refer to label or MSDS for further safety information.

Phosphate free wash pad alternative

Applied has just released a new product called Bulldog GREEN, which is a truly Phosphate Free wash pad alternative.

MINING focused specialty chemical manufacturer Applied Australia Pty Ltd has recently moved its Mackaydistribution centre to the new McAleese Transport facility in Paget as part of an ongoing process to improve and speed up the service offering to their mining clients.
“This new facility is fantastic and will really allow us to improve so many aspects of our business. This, coupled with the recent and upcoming launches of some innovative new products, continues to place Applied at the forefront of the mining chemical supply Industry,” Applied mining business manager Graham Astbury said.
In addition to its already highly successful Bulldog Gold product, Applied has just released a new product called Bulldog GREEN, which is a truly phosphate free wash pad alternative.

“The development of this product came about following requests from several of our large mining clients wanting a phosphate free industrial detergent that actually works. Phosphate is a natural fertiliser, which is known to be a serious contributor to the growth of algae; algae depletes the amount of oxygen dissolved in the water,” said Glenn Ascott, Applied’s industrial divisional manager.

“The use of phosphate in detergents is standard practice as they assist in many aspects of the cleaning process – but this can also be a negative in some environments,” he said. “The challenges of being able to formulate a phosphate free product, whilst meeting all the requirements of a heavy duty water based cleaner and degreaser suitable for the mining industry were quite complex, given that phosphate is such a critical component in the success of these types of detergents . “The product also needed to meet a number of other important criteria such as being readily biodegradable, hard water tolerant, be quick breaking, and effective on engine greases and oils, road grime and mineral ores like iron ore, black and brown coal and bauxite.” Bulldog Green took more than a year and a half and many formula variations, to develop. A number of extensive site trials were undertaken to ensure the product performed to expectation. “Our improved logistics management, Introduction of Bulldog Green and equipment packages to ensure the economical use of the product, really will continue to assist and improve our clients’ processes,” Mr Astbury said. Bulldog Green is now available to the mining industry in bulk loads as well as 205L and 1000L containers. For further information contact Applied Australia on 1300 55 44 46.
